Yes. I wouldn't go down there by myself, like, ever. I didn't have a reason for it, but it was...Well, it was always cold down there (in the middle of summer in South Georgia what :[). And you couldn't turn on the lights until you were down the first part of the stairs.
I can't tell you how many times the manniquin dressed in the sundress a friend of mine wore the year before set in the hallway scared the shit out of me because of that.
